Broad spectrum antibacterial treatment for ornamental freshwater and saltwater fish.

Bacterial infections move fast. Fin and tail rot, popeye, cloudy eye, mouth rot, body slime, open sores, and septicemia all escalate quickly once they take hold, and most of them look similar in the early stages. Bacterial Blast covers the range.

Undiluted. No fillers.

Most aquarium antibacterials are blends. A jar of powder that is mostly carrier with a fraction of active drug, sold without ever telling you the percentage. Bacterial Blast is not cut. What you weigh out is what treats the fish, which is why the dose is small and the jar lasts.

Dosing

1 gram per 20 gallons. Redose every 48 hours with a 25 percent water change before each dose.

Treat in a hospital tank. This product will damage an established biological filter, and a bacterial infection is a bad reason to trade yourself an ammonia problem on top of it. Remove activated carbon, turn off UV, and run lights off for the duration of treatment. Maintain strong aeration.

Use a scale

Dosing is by weight, not by scoop. A gram scale that reads to a tenth of a gram costs less than a bag of food and removes the guesswork that gets fish killed. If you are treating a sick fish, you should be measuring.
